Edmund Botes – Self

Self is a six-track EP by Edmund Botes, developed over a three-year period across multiple countries in collaboration with Victor Defoort and Yarno Hoedemaekers. The project centers on themes of introspection, combining songwriting with a detailed and exploratory production process shaped through long-term collaboration.

The EP brings together live instrumentation and refined studio production, with contributions from a network of musicians and collaborators. Cortex Ensemble recorded the string- and brass arrangements featured on the project.
