Inzozi Zanjye by Dushime ft Cortex Ensemble

Inzozi Zanjye (‘My Dreams’ in Kinyarwanda) was a live performance by Belgian-Rwandan artist Dushime, created in close collaboration with Cortex Ensemble. Blending voice, movement, and live music, the piece explored personal memory, resilience, and transformation through a sharply focused, physical performance language.

On stage, Dushime moved between moments of vulnerability and strength, shaping the space through voice, presence, and choreography. Around her, Cortex Ensemble created a soundtrack that shifted between acoustic textures and electronic layers. Strings, voice, percussion, and live processing moved in sync with her performance.

Inzozi Zanjye premiered at Bozar Brussels as part of the inauguration of their new concert hall, Terarken.
